Our History

Unique, Fascinating, Obscure, Never-to-Forget Trivia. Most frequently described as "oh wow", "oh my gosh", "how did he find that one", "down right head scratchin'" trivia.

Michael King self proclaims himself as the first SPORTS ARCHEOLOGIST.

In June 2006, Michael King began researching a few novelty baseball trivia facts, such as who was the first American League Designated Hitter to hit a home run and who was the leading scorer on Bill Russell's high school basketball team? Within a week, King was researching assorted trivia facts. Within 60 days a daily trivia fact found its way into over 125 different email boxes, throughout the entire country. By summer 2007, the daily emails halted and instead became the start of trivia books, soon made available to family and friends.

Read Us For Fun Publishing was established in the summer of 2007, under the name Trivia Is Fun Company. Our initial name was TIFCO until it was discovered the name was already in use. Keep this tidbit in mind, one day it will be an answer to a famous trivia question. In April 2008 Read Us For Fun became an official publishing house and now the sky is the limit.

In January 2008, King wrote, published and marketed a Super Bowl trivia book. After sales topped 1,000 copies sold, the author realized the potential opportunity available. With 30 seconds remaining in the Pats-Giants Super Bowl, THE HEARTACHE YEARS became reality. Realizing he was not upset over the unexpected New England lost, it dawned on Michael why no tears were shed for our beloved Patriots. With three Super Bowl championships under New England's belt, how could Pats fans have a feeling of emptiness. With this loss having no over-riding effect, suddenly a bolt of lightning struck. Thinking of all the heartaches caused by the Sox over the past 45 years and thanks to 2004 & 2007 World Series championships, the pain has lost its sting!!! Before the clock wound down to 0:00 on Super Bowl XLII, Michael King was already pounding the keys of his lap top, starting R.U.F.F.'s first book, THE HEARTACHE YEARS.  King's second book, PATRIOTS PASSION From Day One will be available soon to fans worldwide in celebration of the New England Patriots 50th Anniversary.  For the avid fan who can't get enough of King's writing R.U.F.F. has set up a blog with daily trivia on Facebook.  Just look for R.U.F.F. (readusforfun) to get your daily trivia fix.  Next on the agenda, how about revisiting the  Celtics and Bruins? And how about the 44 United States Presidents?
